The part of us that wants to become is fearless.- Joseph Campbell
When people come to see me, they’re often feeling depressed, anxious, or overwhelmed. Many feel dissatisfied with or disengaged from their life and relationships, or feel like something is getting in the way of living the life they really want. Psychotherapy provides the tools to foster both compassion for your struggles and motivation to create the life you desire.
I use a collaborative relational approach to engage your curiosity and provide an open, non-judgmental atmosphere where we can work together to understand how early life experiences may be impacting you today and what you can do to cope with these challenges now. This may include exploring unconscious motivations, thoughts, or fears as well as an integration of mental and physical wellness to understand how your strengths and challenges fit into the larger picture of your sense of wellness, emotional health, and interpersonal relationships.
My style is warm and compassionate as well as direct, straightforward, and honest. My aim is to provide a safe place where you can be your authentic and genuine self and for us to build a trusting relationship where we can work to help you increase your satisfaction and engagement with your life, enhance your capacity for intimate relationships, and improve your relationship to yourself.
The decision to come to therapy takes a lot of courage and motivation, and finding a therapist who is the right fit can be challenging. To see if I might be the right therapist for you or to answer any questions please feel free to call or email me. I offer complimentary phone consultations prior to scheduling a first appointment. I look forward to hearing from you.
